Cougars Under16’s Blues finished a memorable 2014 in a strong position in the league and cup after a three nil away win at Potton Colts thanks to a hat-trick from Scott Batchelor.
The victory puts Buntingford in second place in the top division five points ahead of third place Baldock and two points behind leaders Hitchin Town with a game in hand. Further down the league Bishop Stortford Swifts could be a danger with three games in hand and seven points behind Sean Curran’s side.
Curran is happy with 2014 though as he confirmed with Alan Brazil at TalkSport “It was good to finish the year strongly. We have had a great 2014 losing just three games and we are well positioned to succeed again in 2015 so here’s looking forward to the new year.”
