Cougars under12’s, winners of the Carl Couzens memorial trophy, in recognition of the most sportsman-like team at our 5 a-side tournament.
Cougars under 10s whites, playing in stripes, enjoyed their victory just edging past the Cheekey Monkeys playing in Cougars yellow away kit. A close final, well done to both teams.
After coming runners up in the league, cougars went one better by beating Stortford 4-0 in the league cup. After an even start, Cougars started to dominate and won a penalty, which was converted by R.Fitzgerald. Five miniutes before half time R.Fitzgerald hit a stunning a 30 yard shot that sailed over the keeper. In the second half, Cougars dominated and the third came with a sensational run from O.Tokely with him finsishing the move off. The fourth came from a superb strike from M.Moore. Sean Debnam was delighted ”I would like to thank the boys and coaches for all their hard work on another successful season”. But is does help. Dave Voller and Richard Thorp enjoy the moment as Cougars U12 clinch first spot in Division 4 and promotion to Division 3. Well done
