Buntingford Cougars Under 15’s are in the Royston Crow League Cup Final on Sunday at The Bury playing Sawbridgeworth Town. The Under 15’s Blues team managed and coached by Sean Curran, John Smith and Brad Hill are hoping a win in the final will be their first step in rounding off a great season because if they followed a cup win with two victories in their last two league matches the hard working team would win the well deserved league and cup double. Sawbridgeworth are their rivals for the league title too.
Manager Sean Curran says “We are immensely proud of the boys. To get to the final we have seen off some big town clubs including Bishop Stortford, Letchworth, Saffron Walden and in the semi final we beat Potton 5-3 in extra time. We are looking forward to the final and I know the lads will do their best for Cougars and for Buntingford.”
Buntingford Cougars are hoping for a big crowd to cheer on the boys on Sunday. Kick off is 2pm at The Bury. The Crow League entry fee is £2 per adult, £1 for children 10-16 with under 10’s free. Would be great to see you there.
