Cougars 2016 Tournament Details Announced

The 2016 Buntingford Cougars Youth FC 5 a side tournament will take place over two weekends on 4th / 5th and 11th / 12th June.

Our tournament is sanctioned by the Hertfordshire FA and is one of the most popular in the East of England. Places are sold out in some age groups as early as February so early booking is strongly advised to avoid disappointment.

Teams book early to return every year for these reasons . . . . friendly and welcoming atmosphere, tournament results and tables updated online in real time, trophies for winners and runners up, a cup / trophy (to keep) for winning teams, FA qualified referees, a clubhouse with licensed bar, BBQ, fresh baguettes, ice creams, sweets, bouncy castle, stalls, free car parking, simple rules, a quick and simple online booking process.

In 2016 our tournament will host the following ages and formats (age groups as per 2015/16 season):

Under 6’s festival with every player receiving a medal. The Under6’s festival will take place on each afternoon 4th, 5th, 11th and 12th. There will be at least five teams in a group so every team will play at least 4 x 10 minute matches. There are no scores recorded or tables published.

Under 7’s to Under 9’s will be a tournament format with every team playing at least five group matches. The 1st & 2nd placed teams will go through to a knockout cup and the 3rd / 4th placed teams go through to a knockout trophy event.

Under 10’s to Under 15’s will play a tournament format with the best eight sides going through to a knockout cup competition.

Age groups and dates are as follows:

Saturday 4th June from 9.30am: Under 13’s, 14’s and 15’s (plus Under 6’s in the afternoon).

Sunday 5th June from 9.30am: Under7’s and 10’s (plus Under 6’s in the afternoon).

Saturday 11th June from 9.30am: Under 8’s and 11’s (plus Under 6’s in the afternoon).

Sunday 12th June from 9.30am: Under9’s and 12’s (plus Under 6’s in the afternoon).

All bookings for our tournament are confirmed and paid for online, booking fees do apply.

Maximum squad size per team is 8.

Entries are STRICTLY 1st come 1st served with confirmed online payment.

Earlybird Offer before 1st April: 1-2 teams £35 each team. 3+ teams £30 each team.

From 1st April: 1-2 teams £40 each team. 3+ teams £35 each.
