Buntingford’s Under9s Whites supports enjoyed an even spectacle at The Bury on Saturday as Broadhall Youth travelled from Stevenage. With Alfie Vottariello injured Gaffer Tom Curtis selected Aiden Broci as his number one and he stepped up between the sticks for a great performance.
The hosts opened the scoring with a stunning strike from outside the box courtesy of Harry Norris but the lead did not last long as the visitors equalised in five minutes and then put more pressure on although not much was getting past Luke Ross or Miles Arnold in the Cougars defence.
Just before the interval William Brown put Cougars ahead again with a cracking goal and at half time Tom Curtis needed to remind the boys that they still had a second half to play.
TJ Curtis and Beau Quinn worked extremely hard in central midfield, alongside Harry Norris and William brown on the two wings. Henry Dowsett came very close to scoring twice from set pieces but could not convert. Boss Tom Curtis was happy with his sides performance telling the BBC’s Jermaine Jenas “It was a great game and a great performance again from the lads.”
