Molly Shines for Cougars Under10’s

Cougars Under10s Whites hosted Bedwell Rangers Panthers at a sunny Bury with new signing Molly Gray making her Cougars debut.

With boots polished and shin pads dusted following the summer break an evenly contested first half saw the majority of the action in midfield. It was clear that Cougars were intending to compete and debutant Gray was in the thick of things, making crucial tackles and interceptions.

After a goal less first half there was a change in the Cougars line up as Austin Cook replaced Lucca Hedge in goal. The second half was similar to the first until the hosts started to tire which allowed Bedwell to take the lead with a shot into the top corner.

In pressing for an equaliser Buntingford left themselves exposed and found themselves two – nil down. Cougars employed a never say die attitude and their hard work was rewarded when Khan Tas scored with a shot from outside the box. The strike sparked energy into the team and Cougars went in search of another goal but despite dominating the final five minutes it never came. Cougars man of the match was Charlie Gerring.
