FOUNTAIN GUSHES CLASS FOR COUGARS UNDER13S BLUES

Cougars Under13s Blues played at Stotfold and scored seven goals in one of their best performances of recent years. The visitors opened the scoring in the second minute as Charlie Fountain floated in a left sided corner that Nathan Anderson nodded in at the far post. The provider then turned scorer five minutes later as he burst through from the middle to thunder a shot in from twenty yards. As Cougars pressed on Stotfold rarely troubled and it was not long before the energetic Jack Lally scored after cutting in from the left and then Jimmy Brown took advantage of a defensive error and Fountain scored again to put the game beyond doubt before the interval.

In the second half Cougars eased off and the hosts scored a consolation before the visitors pushed on again and Fountain completed his hat-trick and Lally scored again. Overall it was a good performance all over the pitch.
