RYMAN NOT STATIONARY FOR COUGARS UNDER13’s WHITES

Buntingford’s Under13’s Whites took their chances against Ware Youth Blacks on Sunday with a convincing four – one victory. In the first half Max Young was the danger man down the left as he made some stunning runs and delivered some great crosses. After hitting the woodwork the ever improving Tom Carter opened the scoring midway through the first half following some good work by Young.

Before half time it was Young himself who got on the scoresheet to give Cougars a two goal cushion going into the interval. Manager Dean Howard made clear that the next goal was crucial and indeed it went to the home side in the 50th minute as Tom Ryman netted his first goal of the season from close range.

Ware pulled a goal back with a fine left foot strike with five minutes remaining but having been pushed forward George Godfrey scored a deserved goal for Cougars fourth. After the match Cougars Gaffer Dean Howard told Gary Linekar “This was one of the best team performances we have ever delivered. I was really pleased with the effort and attitude of every player and we fully deserved the win.”
