KING HENRY REIGNS FOR THE ROYALS

Stotfold travelled to The Bury to face Cougars Under8s Royals on Saturday and within moments of kick off Cougars took the lead as a result of Henry McAllister making an excellent tackle in the middle of the pitch and his subsequent pass to Tumi Awoyemi who ran with confidence through the defence and buried his effort in the net. The goal lifted the hosts Awoyemi quickly scored two more goals for his hat trick.

Even though the Royals clearly were playing well, the opposition didn’t look like giving up and Archie Beattie worked hard in goal to prevent the scoreline of the opposition catching up with the Royals. William Brown made several impressive runs on the right but each time he took a shot it was saved.

Jake Cole and Henry McAllister were working together well in the midfield and one of their passing combinations saw McAllister have clear run on goal and he scored his first goal of this season, the scorer then quickly added a second.

William Brown, Ryan Gasson and Cole were all working well to create chances but their efforts were saved by an in form Stotfold guardian before Brown got his reward just before half time after stealing possession from the opposition.

In the Second half Cole added his name onto the score sheet before Brown scored again and McAllister added another two for his hat trick, the third coming courtesy of a Keiran Bliss corner.
